Torpor

Characters may enter torpor voluntarily or involuntarily (wounds or other means). Duration depends on Humanity, unless another Kindred gives blood to revive them.

Characters with no Blood Traits lose a health level each time the rules call for them to spend blood (including rising each night). Below Incapacitated in this fashion: torpor.

Vampires who enter torpor due to blood loss or wounds must rest the entire time on the chart, barring exceptional ST circumstances. After that rest, Static Mental vs 3 Traits and expend a Blood Trait to wake. Failure: test again once per night until success or no blood remains. No blood: she may not rise until some is given.

Voluntary torpor is a deeper slumber than daily rest and should not be entered lightly. Voluntary sleepers may awaken in half the usual time, still needing the Static Mental. Torpid vampires ignore the nightly need for blood — they are in hibernation.
