Expectations
Nine standing rules for sitting in Dark Colony territory. Read them before you sign in.
- conduct
- sign-in
- rnu
- staff
Expectations for participation
- The Storytelling Staff reserves the right to make any ruling they see fit to any scene.
- Covid policy. If you have been exposed, or have been around someone who lives with an individual who has Covid or has been exposed, you should not be showing up to the game. We have a significant number of players who are themselves high risk or live with others who are. This is unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated.
- Within the Chronicle jurisdiction of Bridgeport, all players are expected to have Rare and Unusual Item Cards (or their equivalents) for items not within core LotN: Revised. Those items require staff approval before they are run.
- Mommy / Daddying of Staff will not be tolerated and is grounds for Disciplinary Action.
- Everyone is treated with respect — Players, Storytellers, Coords, and Subcoords.
- “Blasting” players or Staff on social media, whether in a private feed or a closed group such as OWBN Uncensored or Whine & Wine, is grounds for Disciplinary Action.
- Chronicle-level positions (Prince, Primogen, Seneschal, Harpy, Sheriff, Archbishop, Bishop, Priscus, Consul, Sept Alpha, Count/ess, etc.) may only be held by active PCs based in the respective Dark Colony Chronicle or one of its Satellites.
- Any time a PC is engaged in a scene that takes place within Dark Colony Territory, they are considered signed in to the appropriate Dark Colony game.
- Any time a PC or NPC is signing into a Dark Colony Chronicle, staff must have a recent copy (within the last month) of the character’s sheet.
Rare and Unusual, unapproved
Should a player act on an unapproved Rare and Unusual, at best it will be considered not to have occurred. The chronicle will not be held responsible for the player’s chain of custody oversight. Depending on the nature and conduct of the occurrence, One World by Night Disciplinary Action may be pursued in addition to chronicle-level discipline.
Sign-in without a sheet
Until staff has a current sheet, the character will not be permitted to sign in. If a PC or NPC was signed in without a recent sheet, that is grounds for Disciplinary Action.
